fantasy-mystery-noir collection from Ace Books—welcome!
The first three books, NIGHT RISING, MIDNIGHT REIGN, and
BREAK OF DAWN are on shelves, and the fourth, A DROP OF
RED, is due out in March, 2009. (There’s also a VB
novella in a Berkley Sensation’s FIRST BLOOD, already on
shelves.) Now, this series
isn’t structured like most: it’s told in trilogy arcs
that concentrate on one basic story. While each
individual novel focuses on a central mystery that’s
solved by the end, the three books together build
character and mythology arcs/mysteries until everything
culminates in the third book. The second VB trilogy in
2009, A DROP OF RED, furthers the adventures of Dawn
Madison, vampire hunter, and the Limpet and Associates
team, and starts the new trilogy arc.
