Leslie Michaels is a visionary, and only those close to her know of her special gift and the visions that come when her mind and body surrender to sleep. Fate has a way of righting many wrongs, and for Leslie it is a destiny that changes her life dramatically. But not before she is forced to flee into the wilderness to escape a murderous trapper bent on claiming her for his very own. Faith and a strong will to survive are her only companions, until she encounters Winnokin, the handsome Seneca war chief who first came to her in her dreams. Not only does he prove to be her rescuer and protector, he teaches her that tragedy can breed happiness and the passion to live and love deeply once again.
Wind Warrior plunges readers into the intimate depths of a relationship that unfolds like a live drama before their eyes while painting an insightful and intriguing portrait of Native Indian life in the 1800s. It is a story of longing, of a wanton need to survive all odds, and a love so strong it conquers human evil. Wind Warrior expresses with cunning words the simple, raw human emotions that hold readers spellbound and captivate their hearts."
EXCERPT
Winnokin ignored her threats and closed in slowly with a grin spreading from ear-to-ear.
Much to his surprise, Leslie stopped and threw her hands up in submission, unaware of the enticing sight her rounded breasts offered as they rose above the water.
“Stop! Stop! You win. You win.”
Her beauty made his breath catch in his throat, and Winnokin could feel his heart pulse like thunder in his chest as she stood there in beautiful splendor just within his reach. Droplets of water glided a path between her breasts and beaded like tear drops from the tip of each soft, brown nipple that hardened with excitement. The desire to lick the very droplets nearly drove him insane.
Leslie clearly read the passion in his eyes, and her insides tingled with the same building desire.
He closed the distance between them before she realized what he had done and gathered her into his arms. Despite the crispness in the air, the heat that radiated off his body made her shudder.
Leslie gazed upon his handsome face and saw his eyes were cloaked with the same hunger that pulsed between her thighs.
“This is not what I intended,” she said breathlessly as her palms pressed against his muscular chest. She could feel the pounding of his heart, and she smiled softly.
Winnokin entwined his fingers through her silken tresses and drew her soft lips to his in an ardent kiss that sent their minds swirling.
She throbbed with desire as his tongue delved deeper into her mouth, caressing her own. She clung to him and loved the way their lips danced against each other. His hands roamed the length of her back, traveled to the soft velvet curves of her bottom, and seductively kneaded them as he crushed her harder against him.
They were mindless of the current frothing around their thighs, their passion sending tempests of desire storming to the depths of their being.
Leslie lost herself to the emotion his touch and embrace stirred within her. She forgot about wanting to leave him, being afraid of rejection, or being made a slave if she went with him. All that mattered at that very moment was the wanton hunger to lie with him for an eternity.
